Aventus Launches New Lifting Capabilities

As part of our mission to make interacting with the Aventus Network as easy and decentralised as possible, we have today launched a new lifting tool, which allows AVT holders to move AVT from Ethereum to the Aventus Network (AvN).

Via this tool, AVT holders can move AVT from layer 1 (Ethereum) to layer 2 (the AvN) easily and autonomously. While lifting AVT was previously possible, the process required interaction with a smart contract on Etherscan – which involved numerous steps, a degree of technical knowledge, and relied on support from the Aventus team.

Why would I want to lift AVT?

The main benefit of lifting AVT to the AvN is to allow you to stake your AVT and earn rewards.

How does it work?

In order to lift AVT with the new tool, visit https://avn-dapp.aventus.io/ and provide the AvN recipient address – the address where you want the tokens to go. If you don’t have an AvN address, you can create one with these instructions.

From there, you will need to connect your MetaMask wallet (please note – if using the tool on mobile, you will need to download the MetaMask app separately, as the mobile version doesn’t have browser extensions).

There is no cap on the value you can lift, so you can lift as much or as little as you like, and you can lift whole or fractional AVT.

As well as AVT, you can also lift ERC20, ERC777 and ETH.

The new tool was built with user experience in mind – unlike the previous method, this process will catch all errors for you, and let you know exactly where you’ve gone wrong. It will also run background checks to ensure smart contract addresses are valid.

If you have any questions or require any support, please email info@aventus.io.
